Dean of Health and Public Safety Careers at Harper College
Harper College is a large comprehensive community college located
approximately 30 minutes northwest of Chicago. The College is currently
seeking candidates for the Dean of Health and Public Safety Careers position.
The Dean of Health and Public Safety Careers is responsible for
administering and developing career instructional and support service
programs for Health and Public Safety Careers including Criminal Justice,
Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Fire Science, EMT/EMS, Nursing,
Dental Hygiene, Dietetic Technology and Diagnostic Imaging. The Dean will
provide management and leadership within the Division and across the
College while being inclusive of the faculty and staff as active
participants in the scope and direction of the Division within a collective
bargaining environment.
Requirements include:
Masters Degree, preferable in one of the areas of protective service
Profession appropriate licenses and certifications
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in an
administrative capacity within one of the protective services.
Two years of successful adult/collegiate level teaching/training
Experience building partnerships with other protective services
